Kristin Fisher joined CNN on July 20, 2021. She is CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent. As an official for the Space and Defense Department Kristin Fisher is a reporter covering everything including NASA to the newly created Space Force as well as commercial space companies as well as space tourism. As the daughter and the mother of two NASA astronauts Kristin has a background in the space industry and spent the last five years covering the Trump and Biden Administration's space policies as an White House Correspondent for FOX News. While there, she also covered two impeachment trials for the president as well as the 2020 presidential campaign, as well as two administration's attempts to control the spread of coronavirus. The former president Donald Trump traveled to Afghanistan in a trip that was highly restricted. Kristin was a TV local reporter in Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., in which she was awarded an Emmy Award for her work as the "one-man-band" reporter prior to being hired by CBS in the year 2015. With her experience on the set, Kristin established Field Mouse Films in 2014. The company was a specialist in documentary style films for corporate clients including Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism at Boston University. She is currently living in Washington, D.C., with her family, including their daughter, who is three years old.
